You must have encountered some days when you feel like you are having a tedious and boring session of work and time seems stand still. We start a new job with this zeal because we are going to meet new people, perform new tasks and learn new things. Even with all this enthusiasm, our exciting 

 job can go a little bit stale, which we may not even be aware of at first.
When we now get comfortable after a while, we may occasionally devise to autopilot. This happens daily leading to boredom. It doesn’t just occur overnight but gradually. This is the very reason why we don’t spot it.
Now, the way we feel about our jobs, our life and career is now jeopardized by boredom. We now become a bit less happy and lose the zealousness we had at the beginning. Your job or career is the same with relationship and marriage which at first sparks up and after a some happy years, boredom and libido creeps in. one effective way in dealing with boredom is to change your regularly. When you don’t want to change the job or may you have not completed your job tenure. Here are ways you can use to handle the boredom and make your day a little more interesting.
1. Begin your day appropriately with a better commute.
Many peoples boredom doesn’t start at work. It starts right when they hit the road to get to work. Your drive can be tedious whether you are stuck in a traffic or your house is far from work. Put on the car radio listen some jams while stuck in traffic or while driving the long distance. Figure out a shorter route to your work. It mustn’t always be busy road. Also, you can ply a less busy road with little or no traffic. You can ask your boss to work from home.
2. Making new friends at work.
Making new friends in work or getting acquainted with your colleagues while starting a new work may be frightening or exciting. Get acquaint with other people from other different departments or functions. Begin to look around, you may find a group of people or someone with an inviting countenance. Just identify with the person or group of people and see how things go.
3. Desist from the autopilot.
Stop taking an outsider perspective of your career job. See everything with an objective mind will help you find things you could change.
4. Modify some of your most quotidian routine.
You may start your day at work with a different task. Try and mix things up a bit. Change time you normally goes for a break. Do your phone calls in the morning. Check your mail every two hours. Find more things you should be doing like some extracurricular activities if your institutional order allows for it.
5. Request for a new task.
You can broaden your existing task or introduce new ideas into it rather quitting the job and finding a new one. Or you can request for a new function or task.
6. Try and acquire something new.
 This proves a great way in dealing with boredom. Learn something new and interesting that is related to your job. Enhance your skill. It doesn’t only help you to fight boredom but also helps in making a sound career investment.
7. Create an online network.
You can offer to write for directly related websites or create a blog. You may also start up a Facebook page, Twitter account, or LinkedIn group relating to your career. This will get you to write and help you create network of worth for the future of your career. These networking are easier to start up.
8. Work in a different environment.
If your job permits you to be flexible, then consider working in another environment maybe in canteen shop or at home. Maybe the problem is with working in the same office daily. Some dislike working in noisy environment while others prefer it. As for me, I prefer working in noisy than in cool quiet place. I have a television set in my office which is always on and it normal keeps me off from getting bored.
9. Ensure that you balance work and life.
Don’t allow work take control of your life despite its part of your life. Always make out time for your family, spouse, friends, hobbies, children, etc.
10. Go for promotion.
Going for promotion or higher position in your company is great way of revitalizing your job. It will give you a new energy and life to your work.
