President Muhammadu Buhari has said that the allegiance of
the Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram to ISIS has made them stronger.
The president stated this on Tuesday, July 14 when he hosted
members of the diplomatic corps to Ramadan breaking of fast at the Presidential
Villa, Abuja.
He also urged the international community to help Nigeria in
combating the insurgents.
Buhari observed that Boko Haram’s cooperation with ISIS was
a clear evidence of the global threat of terrorism, adding that victory for
Nigeria against the terrorist group would be victory for the world.

The president said the recent changes in the armed forces
was to restructure the nation’s security to make it more effective in the fight
against Boko Haram
He noted that he has also been seeking support from
neighbouring countries’ in the fight against terrorism to ensure the country’s
safety.
Buhari thanked members of the diplomatic corps who supported
him while running for office, adding that their confidence in him would not be
in vain.
Meanwhile the Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram released
new photos of militants and calls itself the Islamic group empire in West
Africa, or ‘West African Province’ of
the Islamic State (in another translation).
