The Senate has asked JAMB to extend the validity of UTME exam result to 3 years from the usual one year it has been know to be to reduce the number of yearly applicantsBut the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has made it known to the public through the registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde recently that the body has rejected the recommendation saying that such recomendations will only distort and delay the future of students accross the country, he further statedthat there were a lot of things to first consider before validating UTME result to 3 years.
One the issue of allowing cyber cafes to serve as jamb registration centers, he eqaully made it cleat that they were not allowed as hey would mess things up for the system.
