Top 12 people in the world with the highest IQ.


We all must have encountered this word “IQ” may be in schools and colleges or any other means. In some schools, the toppers in the class are often referred to as nerds, geeks, or people with high level of IQ.
What is IQ? IQ means Intelligent Quotient. It is grades a person scores after many standard examination or tests to measure the person’s intelligence level. 95% of the people that undergoes this tests score between 70 and 130. Many factors determines a person’s questionable IQ. These factors include: morbidity, parental social position or status, mortality, parent’s IQ.
There are many ways by which a person’s IQ level is determined. These include: verbal tests, visual tests, abstract reasoning problems. Some tests are based on reading, arithmetic, vocabulary or general knowledge.

12. Sharon Stone. IQ level of 154


This alluring woman is supposed to have an IQ of 154.she has received many prestigious awards. Nobody ever thought that this bold actress could have such an IQ that would put most men to shame. She was always a bright student academically. She was in second standard at the age of five. She was offered a scholarship into Edinboro University in Pennsylvania at the age of 15 years old. She studied creative writing and fine arts.
 11. Paul Allen. IQ level of 160
Paul is renowned as the co-founder of Microsoft together with Bill Gates. He made a deal between Microsoft and IBM using his brilliance. He made IBM believed that the 5-year old Microsoft had really had a Disk Operating System that works on Intel Chips despite the fact it didn’t.  The deal made history as a result Paul was 53rd richest man in the world. He scored 1600 in SAT even ahead of Bill Gates. Washington State University awarded him a highest honor of the university. A man of his caliber deserves this award.

Even though he’s been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis that completely paralyzed him. This man’s brain recorded an IQ of 154 which took most people by astonishment.  He has made many outstanding contribution in the field of general relativity. Despite being paralyzed, he let the world know that his condition cannot stop him from achieving his dreams. He is an author, physicist, and the director of Center for Theoretical Cosmology at the Cambridge. He refused to accept a Doctorate in spite of being diagnosed with the disease. He lived more years than he was expected to.
 9. Albert Einstein. IQ level of 160 to 190

I don’t think this needs introduction. The theory of relativity was developed by him. He is the one behind most of the topics in physics. He also involved his methods and laws into gravitational fields. He discovered the law of photoelectric effect. His intelligent and contributions were so immense that people relate his name “Einstein and brilliance together.
8. Judith Polgar. IQ level of 170
According to many, she is the greatest female chess player. She became a Grandmaster at the age of 15, thereby making her youngest Grandmaster. She still holds the record. The only woman in FIDE’s top 100 list, in which her position is 63rd. this genius made history in 2002 when he won the ruling world number 1 chess player Garry Kasparov in a match. The match became an eminent event in her career. She had also defeated other champions in different tournaments.
7. Garry Kasparov.  IQ level of 190
He hails from Russia and he is the greatest chess player ever known. He has been ranked world number one for 225 times. In 2003, this genius played against a computer that calculates 3million moves in a second and the match went draw. Garry became the youngest unchallenged world chess champion when he was 22 years old. He has world records for greatest number of uninterrupted victories and highest number Chess Oscars record. He also writer and a political activist.
6. Philip Emeagwali. IQ level of 190.
He hails from Anambra state in Nigeria. Philip is a mathematician, geologist and an engineer.  He analyzed petroleum fields with Connection Machine Supercomputer. Despite that he left school at the age of 13 to join in the Nigerian-Biafra war, but didn’t prevent him from finishing school via self-study and he earned his degree in mathematics. He obtained his master’s degrees in mathematics, marine engineering and environmental from different universities. He sued the University of Michigan for refusing to give him his PhD on the grounds of racial discrimination. He has been a hero to the world and his country Nigerian.
5. Christopher Langan. IQ level of 195.
He was known as the smartest man in America. This man started talking at the age 6 months and thought himself to read at the age of 3 years. He skipped some classes. This genius dropped month out of his university with a statement that he could teach his professors more than they could teach him. He scored on a very high score in SAT despite he slept all through the exam.

He started to speak fluently at the age of 6 months old. At the age 3 years, he became a guest student in physics at Hengyang University. By the time he was 4 years old, he had written 2 short stories and a poetry. He ended his membership with NASA when he was 16 years old. He rejected an offer to be enlisted into Korea’s most prestigious university. He rather decided to pursue his PhD in civil engineering.

At the age of 12 years old, he had finished his college level courses. He started working a project with NASA when he turned 16. At the age of 18, he had begun pursuing his PhD in astrophysics. He became the first person to win gold medal in International Science Olympiad at 13 years of age.

Another prodigy again, who taught arithmetic to a five year old when he is only 2years old. At the age of 9, he attended courses in mathematics in the university. He received his bachelor’s degree and Master’s Degree when he was sixteen. At 20, he had received his PhD in addition. He won three medals in Olympiad and became the youngest winner ever. He became the youngest professor in UCLA at the age of 24.

William had an outstanding mathematical abilities. At the age of 11, he enrolled into Harvard and learnt more than 40 languages. Due to the threat by some students in Harvard, his parents appointed on a teaching job in Texas. He later the job and concentrated on his political career.
